In
May 2011, BSW Sawmill in Carlisle contracted
Origin
Direct
to uplift
an existing, pine softwood floor and install 65mē of
our
stunning 140mm wide, European White, Character Oak
Engineered Hardwood Flooring.
The
project started with the uplift of the existing
softwood flooring which was nailed into the Gyproc
subfloor. The room was swept and cleaned in
preparation for the delivery of the new wooden
flooring. We have commenced the installation
of the new wooden flooring in the centre of the room
for technical reasons of which we are installing
false tongues to enable us to install in the
opposite direction.
The room
has two inspection hatches in the subfloor which we
are required to machine the planks accordingly to
enable the
flooring over the inspection hatches to be uplifted
if access is required in the future.
