This former Textile Mill was built in 1824 for Ferguson Brothers Ltd to process imported cotton from America.  This was one of the two major Cotton Mills in Carlisle  which brought prosperity and employment to the City for many years.  As the Cotton Industry declined, so did this stunning building until major investment around 2005 when the complex was converted into luxury apartments.  In September 2010, Origin Direct installed 55m² of a 180mm wide, single plank engineered oak floor.  The apartment is of an upside down layout in that the Lounge and open plan kitchen are on the first floor with the bedrooms and bathrooms on the ground floor.  With a spiral stair case to take into consideration, the thickness of the flooring was an issue so we have installed a 16mm plank of a Multiply construction.  The property has the signature, steel support columns running throughout of which we have manufactured solid oak rings to provide us with a first class finish.

The end result is superb with the owner of the property showing some of our potential customers their home enabling us to secure future business from this project.
