In January, 2012 - Origin Direct carried out an installation within this imposing property in the grounds of Cardew Grange near Dalston.

The building itself is approximately 150 years old and is of a very traditional style with high ceilings and exposed beams along with qwirky low doorways.

The property suffered from rising damp on the exterior wall of which the client had the walls injected.  During my survey of the property, moisture reading were taken of the subfloor providing us with readings between 3.5 - 4.5%.  As this level is higher than the acceptable parameter, we applied a Liquid Moisture Barrier over the subfloor on a 3 coat basis to prevent any moisture ingress into our timber flooring.

The 160mm wide, Multiply from our Origin Hardwoods range was bonded to the concrete using our specialist flexible wood flooring adhesive from Rewmar.

The client was over the moon with the end result...
